The Cranston Bulldogs, who are 4-0 on the year, squeezed past a very good Chariho team 2-1.

Randy Vargas had another strong outing for the Bulldogs with a complete game six-hitter.

Offensively, Quinn Lanigan led the team with two hits and Andy McGrath came up with a key 5th inning two-run single which allowed the Bulldogs to take the lead that they would never relinquish.

Defensively, Anthony Sylvestri made two diving catches in right field to preserve the victory.

Chariho’s John Pellegrino was outstanding on the mound in the loss.

Led by the solid pitching and timely hitting of Mason Provoyeur, West Warwick picked up their second victory of the summer over Slocum Baseball, 12-1.

Provoyeur, who struck out nine batters in four innings of work, had a timely two-run double in a nine-run fifth inning for West Warwick.

In addition, Dylan Lombari (rbi single) and Ty Condon (two-run single) also provided two-out hits for the Orange and Black.

Quinn Kortick scored three runs and reached base four times (three walks and one hit batsmen).

The Bears of Stonington, Connecticut continued their success against Rhode Island opponents with their third shutout in a row over the Avengers of East Greenwich, 14-0.

Lucas Holliman picked up the victory with four innings of two-hit work.

Offensively, the Bears were powered by Jackson Shaffer (3/4, three doubles and 4 rbi’s) and Mike Fiore (2/3, one home run, one double and 3 rbi’s).

Behind the two-hit, ten strikeout performance of Noah Rennick, the Cranston Bulldogs defeated Warwick PAL 8-0.

Offensively, Alex Paone led the Bulldogs with two hits, both of which, started big innings for the Bulldogs.
