Led by the six-hit pitching of Mason Feole, the Crusaders were able to squeak by the Wizards, 3-1, in their crossover contest.

Although the future Huskie (University of Connecticut) allowed a season high six hits, he struck out 12 batters and permitted only three Wizards to reach beyond first base.  

Senior Matt Hopper pitched well for the Wizards.  While keeping the Maroon and White off balance, the burly senior allowed just two earned runs on five hits in seven innings of work.   

After setting down the Crusaders in order, switch-hitter Matt Grenier led off with a line drive single to right-center.  After reaching second base on a wild pitch, Grenier moved to third base on a groundout to first by Ernie Wright.  Feole, however, pitched out of the jam by striking out a batter and inducing a ground out to end the inning.

In the top of the third inning, Prout scored their first run of the game.  Nick Fogerty reached on a two-out walk and scored on Cody Hattoy's double to centerfield.

The Wizards tied it up in the bottom of the third when Matt Grenier hit a double to the left-field fence and scored on an Ernie Wright single to centerfield.  

Unfortunatley for the Orange and Black, the All-State lefty from Prout, retired the 12 of the next 14 Wizards he faced to pick up the victory.  Out of 102 pitches, Feole threw 76 strikes.   

Offensively, the Wizards received hits from Matt Grenier (2/3, one double and one run scored), Ernie Wright (1/3, one rbi), Charlie Tashjian (1/3), Chris Gaipo (1/3, one double) and Andrew D'Ambrosca (1/3).   

The Wizards followed the formula for winning baseball in their 7-1 road win over the Mariners of Narragansett.

While playing errorless baseball, the Wizards managed 13 hits and received solid pitching from the junior duo of Charlie Tashjian and Ernie Wright.  

Tashjian, who picked up the victory, allowed just two hits while striking out one in four innings of work.  Wright, who worked the final 2 2/3 innings, struck out two batters and allowed just one run on two hits.  

Offensively, the Wizards received a stellar day from sophomore Andrew D'Ambrosca, who went 4/4 with two rbi's and one run scored. 

In the top of the second inning, the Wizards took advantage of one Mariner error when Matt Hopper scored three batters later on a bases loaded walk to Ernie Wright.

In the top of third inning, West Warwick scored two more runs when Nick Pecchia (walk), Chris Gaipo (single) scored on a fielder's choice and and rbi single by Andrew D'Ambrosca.

The Orange and Black increased their lead in the top of the fifth inning with two more runs on hits by Chris Gaipo (lead-off double), Tom Doran (single), Andrew D'Ambrosca (rbi single) and Charlie Tashjian (rbi single).  

The Wizards added insurance runs in the sixth and seventh innings before the Mariners scored their only run of the game in the bottom of the seventh inning.  

Offensively, West Warwick received hits from Matt Grenier (2/4, one double and one run scored), Chris Gaipo (2/3, one double, two runs scored and one rbi), Tom Doran (2/4, one run scored), Andrew D'Ambrosca (4/4, one run scored and two rbi's), Charlie Tashjian (2/3, one rbi), and Ernie Wright (1/3, one rbi).   

Trailing 7-0 after two innings at Chariho, the Wizards methodically came back and posted an 18-12 victory.  

In the top of the fourth inning, the Wizards cut the Charger lead to 7-5 with four runs on four walks (Matt Grenier, Chris Gaipo, Pacer Carpenter and Ernie Wright), a sacrifice fly by Tom Doran and a two-run single by Charlie Tashjian.

After giving a up a run in the bottom of the fourth inning, West Warwick took a 10-8 lead, scoring five urns on hits by Ernie Wright, Matt Grenier, Travis Caddick (rbi single), Tom Doran (two-run single), Matt Hopper (rbi single) and a perfectly executed suicide squeeze by Robert Bird.

While lefty reliever, Robert Bird, kept the Chariho batters in check, the Orange and Black erupted for eight runs in the top of the sixth inning to break open the game. Key hits in the inning were provided by Brogan Guilmette (double), Ernie Wright (rbi single), Matt Grenier (two singles and one rbi), Travis Caddick (two singles and three rbi's) and Tom Doran (two-run double).  

Sophomore Robert Bird picked up the victory with 3 1/3 innings of relief pitching. The lefty allowed just two earned runs on one hit, while striking out three batters and walking four.  

Offensively, the Wizards rcceived hits from Matt Grenier (3/4, two walks, three runs scored and one rbi), Travis Caddick (3/3, two runs scored and four rbi's), Andrew D'Ambrosca (1/2, two runs scored), Chris Gaipo (1/3, three walks and one rbi), Tom Doran (2/4, one double and five rbi's), Matt Hopper (1/3, one rbi), Charlie Tashjian (1/5, one run scored and two rbi's), Brogan Guilmette (1/4, two runs scored) and Ernie Wright (2/3, three runs scored and one rbi).  

Led by the timely hitting of Max Pierce and Mark Gelsomino, Scituate High School surged past the Wizards of West Warwick, 6-2.

In a game that was scoreless after four innings, the Spartans took advantage of their opportunities more than the Wizards who left 7 runners on base over the last three innings.  

West Warwick received a solid outing from left-hander, Tom Doran, who allowed just two hits and struck out one over the four innings of work.  

Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, West Warwick scored a run on three singles (Matt Hopper, Robert Bird and Ernie Wright), a walk to Matt Grenier and a wild pitch.

After Scituate built a 6-1 lead in the top of the sixth inning on back to back doubles by Gelsomino and Pierce, the Wizards scored a run (Chris Gaipo) on Matt Hopper's fielder's choice.  

In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Wizards loaded the bases with Ernie Wright (lead-off single), Matt Grenier (walk) and Chris Gaipo (walk), but left the bases loaded as lefty reliever Alex Pannone induced a pop-out and groundout to end the game.
